This Privacy Policy explains how Soccer Predictor: Bracket ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use the Soccer Predictor: Bracket iOS application — a tournament prediction game in which you fill in a bracket and watch a simulated tournament play out.

The short version. Soccer Predictor: Bracket has no account and doesn't ask for your name. Your picks, scores and settings are stored on your device. The game's outcomes are decided locally by a deterministic engine and play fully offline. When the optional AI pundit adds commentary, only the facts of a fictional match (teams, score, round) are sent to our backend and AI provider — never anything about you. If you allow notifications, we send occasional reminders (such as a new Daily Challenge) via OneSignal. We use analytics and attribution tools to improve the app and measure marketing; the game plays the same whether or not you allow tracking.

1. Information we process

a. Game data on your device

Your bracket picks, results, scores, streaks, achievements and settings are stored only on your device. There is no account and we do not receive this data. "Reset statistics" in Settings clears it.

b. AI pundit commentary

The reveal can show short commentary written by an AI. To generate it, the app sends only the facts of a fictional match — the team names, the score, the round and whether it was an upset — to our backend (a Cloudflare Worker, which forwards to the AI provider Groq). No personal data is sent, the commentary is purely cosmetic, and it never affects scores or outcomes. If there's no connection, the app uses built-in lines instead, so the game keeps working offline.

c. Push notifications — OneSignal

If you allow notifications, we use OneSignal to send occasional reminders — for example, that a new Daily Challenge is available. OneSignal assigns your installation a push token and processes basic device information to deliver these messages. You can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings, and the game works fully without them.

d. Analytics — Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (screens opened, features tapped) and to improve it. This includes app and device information such as device model, OS version, language and approximate region derived from IP — not precise location.

e. Attribution & advertising measurement — AppsFlyer

We use AppsFlyer to measure which marketing campaign led to your install. AppsFlyer processes device identifiers and install/session events. If you grant tracking permission, this may include the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA).

f. Diagnostics

We may receive aggregated crash and performance data to keep the app stable.

2. App Tracking Transparency

iOS asks your permission before the app can track you across other apps and websites. If you deny, AppsFlyer will not use the IDFA. Soccer Predictor: Bracket plays exactly the same either way — no feature is gated behind it. Change it any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

Data on your device remains until you reset statistics or delete the app. Match facts sent for commentary are processed to produce a reply and are not used to build a profile of you. Data held by our providers follows their standard retention periods.

6. Children

Soccer Predictor: Bracket is intended for a general audience aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Your choices

  • Notifications — turn off any time in iOS Settings.
  • Tracking — deny or revoke in iOS Settings.
  • Game data — "Reset statistics" in the app's Settings.
  • Requests — email us to ask a question or request deletion of data associated with your device.

8. Security

Requests to our backend are sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we process.

9. International users

Our providers may process data on servers outside your country. By using Soccer Predictor: Bracket you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
